As the A-listers walked the red carpet and the crowd filled the seats, host Don MacMillan (looking dapper, dressed in a black Armani tux) welcomed guests to the "I am an OISE Teacher" Video Contest Awards. On February 22, the awards gala displayed the videography talents of 19 hopeful nominees - all vying for the grand prize - $750!

The video contest was an opportunity for students to "speak" to the next generation of teacher candidates about their experiences in becoming a teacher. The contest was open to all OISE students currently registered in an Initial Teacher Education program.

The task: TO INSPIRE...TO ENCOURGAGE...TO MOTIVATE!

The judging panel was greatly impressed with the spirit, passion, and creativity of all submissions.

As drum rolls were played...the winners were announced and awards were given by Dean, Julia O'Sullivan (elegantly dressed in a vintage Alexander McQueen gown).

All of the 19 video entries have been loaded onto an OISE ‘YouTube’ Channel.
