Video contest goes global with 23,000 views: winners announced

The people have spoken: The "I am an OISE Teacher" video contest goes global with 23,000 views. And the winners of the latest round of competition are:
1st Prize $750 with 328 ‘likes’ Alexander Hang: Make A Stand
2nd Prize $500 with 243 ‘likes’ Stephanie Campbell: OISE Producing Teachers since 1906
3rd Prize $250 with 157 ‘likes’ Allister Geonanga: Rap of an OISE Teacher
The video contest asked OISE students to speak to the next generation of teacher candidates about the experience of becoming a teacher.
OISE Registrar Don MacMillan emphasized the impact of the contest: "I can’t tell you how many rave reviews we have had from applicants, teachers, school board officials, and senior administrators at U of T."
The contest, dubbed 'OISE's People's Choice Awards', was open to all OISE students currently registered in an Initial Teacher Education program. Their task: to inspire, to encourage and to motivate. Well done!
All of the 19 video entries appear on an OISE ‘YouTube’ Channel.
