DISCOVER OUR PROGRAMS

Within OISEs four academic departments we offer eleven graduate programs (plus specialized fields and collaborative programs) leading to masters and doctoral degrees.

Designed for those who wish to become certified to teach in Ontario. 

Teaching (MT)   

This combined teacher education and graduate degree program focuses on the nature of learning and teaching across the curriculum, through coursework and practice teaching experiences.

Teacher Certification:

  • Primary/Junior (Kindergarten - grade 6)
  • Junior/Intermediate (Grades 4 - 10)
  • Intermediate/Senior (Grades 7 - 12)

Child Study and Education (MA)   

This program is a combined teacher education and graduate degree program with two fields that emphasize child development and learning to develop educators who can apply this knowledge to their chosen field in education.

MEd degrees are designed for professionals working in education-related fields. MA degrees are designed to provide opportunities for study, research, and theoretical analysis.
