Alumni LinkedIn group over 600 members

Alumnus, Dr. Haig Baronikian (M.Ed.'93) was among the first 100,000 LinkedIn users.  Seeing that the University of Toronto had already started a group he was inspired to launch a LinkedIn group for OISE alumni. He hopes this provides a vehicle to share information, announce events of interest and network.

According to Haig, the group has now been in place for more than five years and has served as the de facto OISE LinkedIn group. As membership grew to over 500, Haig decided that it would be best to position it as the official group for the OISE Alumni Association. He contacted Sema Donna Kenan, Alumni Association President and offered 'ownership' of the group.

"This way, the LinkedIn group can be sustained and can become an integral part of the Association's outreach, communications and alumni services. says Haig. "I wish the OISE Alumni Association much success with the growth and utilization of this LinkedIn group."
