AERA Lifetime Achievement Award winner Michael Apple to lecture
Michael W. Apple, (Univ of Wisconsin-Madison, IE-Univ of London) internationally acclaimed scholar, is coming to OISE on Monday, January 26 to lecture on Neoliberalism, Neoconservatism and the Politics of Educational Reform. Professor Apple's major interests lie in the relationship between culture and power in education. WOMEN'S EXECUTIVE NETWORK TOP 100 AWARD to Rumeet Toor
Rumeet Toor, an MEd student in the Department of Theory and Policy Studies program in Higher Education and Leadership, was honored by the Women's Executive Network at their annual Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 awards event. Rumeet is president of Jobs in Education, a successful online HR business connecting jobseekers and employers in the education field. She is also a social entrepreneur who donates a portion of her company's profits to Free the Children
