2011 Summer GA Timeline
In compliance with the GA collective agreement, we must post all Summer GA positions on May 2, 2010. Therefore we must work with the following timeline:
- Week of March 21: Chairs or Chair’s designate sends out information to faculty members posting Summer GA’s about the online GA posting process
- March 28-April 15: Faculty members post Summer GA job posting online
- March 28, 10-3, April 6, 10-3 & April 14, 10-3: Drop-in times available with Dean's Office Representatives
- April 15: Deadline to submit online GA postings
- April 18-29: Chairs or Chair’s designate review and approve postings
- May 2-13: GA positions posted online
- May 2, 10-11 & May 5, 1-2: Student Information sessions, EC Labs 1
- May 2-13: Students apply for GA positions
- May 9-15: Faculty members may view and rank applicants
- May 13: Deadline for students to apply to jobs
- May 16 AM: Deadline for faculty to rank applications for each position
- May 16 PM: Phase 1 Matching: Automatic matching process takes place; Employment contracts are generated and sent to faculty and student to sign back electronically
- May 17: Deadline for faculty and student to sign contracts back electronically for those who received contracts on May 16
- May 18-19: Phase 2 Matching: Students who were not successfully matched in Phase 1 Matching will be matched in Phase 2; Employment contracts are generated and sent to faculty and student to sign back electronically
- May 20: Deadline for faculty and student to sign contracts back electronically for those who received contracts on May 18-19
