My Teaching Assistantship (TA/TEPA) SupervisionsWelcome to the new Teaching Assistantships website for instructors who are supervising a teaching assistant. We have developed this website to help you keep track of your teaching assistant. This website is part of a fully online system that allows us to automate many parts of the teaching assistantship appointment process. The entire online process involves two systems:
With this shift from a paper-based process to an online system, we hope to improve instructor, student and administrator experience by providing greater transparency and access for everyone. For the purposes of this system, an appointment is defined as the teaching assistant's initial assignment plus their 5 subsequent assignments. An assignment is the job that they perform as part of their appointment. Teaching assistants are represented by The Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3902 Unit 1 (CUPE Local 3902). How to use this website:Bookmark this website if you supervise any teaching assistants (TA/TEPA). On this webpage you will find:
During specific times in the process you will be asked to visit this site to complete various tasks. For example, once your job has been matched, you will be asked to develop and submit a DDAH form. You will do that here. We will continue to communicate with you via email to notify you about the next step in the proces but this is the place where you will provide input and where your information will always be available. Because you must login to this page using your UTORid, only your personal information will be displayed to you. If there are any discrenpancies in the data, please contact Susan Hall at susan.hall@utoronto.ca. Current Step in the Process:The Teaching Assistantship Appointment Process involves many steps. Currently, Directors and the ADP office are making decisions about where continuing teaching assistants will be placed for 2013/2014. We hope to make these decisions by April 26. Teaching assistants that are not placed during this step will be asked to view the new jobs that have been approved to be posted. Next Step in the Process:May 6 - 10: Continuing students who have not been matched by April 26 will use the TA or TEPA Posting System to find teaching assistantship positions for which they would like to be considered. May 21-31: If you have a job that has been assigned to a continuing teaching assistant, you will be sent an email on May 21 to come to this website and develop a DDAH form.
