Additional Instructions For Faculty

to complete the OISE Teacher Education Program Assistants (TEPA) Job Posting Form

 

What is your overall Initial Teacher Education Program responsibility? (maximum 150 words)
State your role within the ITE program.  State whether you are an option coordinator, course instructor, graduate faculty member teaching an ITE course, etc.

Reasons for requesting a TEPA (maximum 150 words):
State the reason you believe you require a TEPA for your course.  

Size of Appointment (hours):
110 hours is required for a half TEPA position.  220 hours is required for a full TEPA position. 

Please Note:    According to CUPE 3902, Unit 1, recent negotiations registered graduate students, are now granted 4th and 5th subsequent appointments at half the hours of their initial appointment. This also includes students in their 6th year or later of their PhD programfor example:

1.  If the initial appointment is 220 hours, the 4th and 5thsubsequent appointment will be at 110 hours; OR

2.  If the initial appointment is 110 hours, the 4th and 5thsubsequent appointment will be at 55 hours.

 

Duties may include:

This section should include a description of the duties to be performed by the TEPA. The duties that are listed here will be the duties that are specified on the Description of Duties and Allocation of Hours Form that supervisors will be required to provide to the employee at the beginning of the term.

The duties can include training, preparation, contact, marking/grading, and other duties but cannot include duties that would be considered research work.

Qualifications:
List the special skills, interests and experiences that you expect from the employee.  These qualifications would be used to help select the best candidate for the position.
