PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Visiting Scholars Funding Program is funded by the Office of the Associate Dean, Research, International & Innovation and administered by the Visiting Scholars Funding Program Committee. This program is open only to faculty at OISE and is intended to help support (but not fully fund) a scholar whose visit has been preapproved by a department or unit at OISE. Eligible applicants include tenure stream, teaching stream, and Contractually Limited Term Appointment (CLTA) OISE faculty. Sessional lecturers, seconded instructors, and contract instructors may apply in partnership with an eligible faculty member.

Please note:

  • Scholars from the University of Toronto are not eligible for the Visiting Scholars Funding Program
  • Applications submitted to sponsor Canadian citizen and permanent resident scholars through this program must be received prior to candidates’ arrival at OISE
  • Applications submitted to sponsor international scholars through this program must be received prior to candidates’ arrival in Canada, and approval for funding is contingent upon the candidate obtaining the appropriate work authorization and visa
