The mandate of Student Services is to assist and enhance the development of students as they engage in academic and professional learning at OISE.
We work closely with student associations and act as liaison between students and other sectors of the university. The University of Toronto offers a full range of services for students who wish to enrich their experience or gain assistance in a variety of areas related to their educational and personal pursuits. A rich array of services and resources are available to you as an OISE student. We encourage you to become familiar with the greater university campus and make use of all it has to offer by visiting UofT Student Life Programs and Services.

GRADUATE STUDENTS ASSOCIATION
The OISE GSA is the largest autonomous student union of the GSU. It represents all the full-time and part-time graduate students at OISE and is responsible for sharing information about OISE with the student associations, making student concerns heard by the administration, and initiating action on behalf of the students. GSA newsletters are posted on news boards on every floor of 252 Bloor. The GSA lounge and office are located in Room 8-105.
OISE provides several Teacher Education Programs through Initial Teacher Education, the School of Graduate Studies, and Continuing Education. Students in all programs are entitled to support from Student Services.
TEACHER EMPLOYMENT PREPARATION CENTRE
The TEP Centre has resources on teaching opportunities in Canada, the U. S. A, and outside of North America; the most recent facts on school board hiring procedures; hiring forecasts; names and addresses for every Canadian school board; and a complete listing of independent and alternative schools.
LIFE AT OISE
Access to all of the services and resources of the University of Toronto including Hart House and and a broad range of leisure and competitive activities to support students in healthy and active lifestyles.
In addition to our specialized collections, staff at the OISE Library are engaged in providing in-depth research services, customized library instruction, and support for all aspects of research, teaching, and learning for the OISE community, education practitioners, and the public. OISE offers numerous programs of study for Graduate Students and students in all programs are entitled to support from Student Services.
The University of Toronto is unique among Canadian universities in providing assurance of financial support, and in promising that students will have access to financial counselling.
The Education Commons has state-of-the-art technology and services for use in research, teaching, learning and community outreach in education.
STUDENTS TEACHERS’ UNION
The Student Teachers' Union provides opportunities for professional development, works on a democratic basis to advance students' interests and rights, and provides a framework through which students can communicate and share experiences and skills. The STU brings students together to discuss and achieve important educational, administrative, and legislative change. The STU office is located beside the lounge area on the 5th floor and the STU Executive can be contacted at email@example.com.
