2012/2013 Graduate Assistantship Job Posting Timelines

 

GA positions will be available online on August 7 and will be posted until August 24. Students are encouraged to apply to the positions during the first week, as faculty members may start to evaluate the applications starting August 20. Although the deadline for students to apply is August 24, it is highly recommended that you apply to the positions by August 17.

 

Please note: Two student training sessions have been scheduled for August 7 & 9 for students who are unfamiliar with the online system and feel that they will need assistance.

          
Aug. 7: GA positions are posted online
Aug. 7: Student training session, Education Commons Lab 1, 3rd floor, 10:30-12:00 noon
Aug. 9: Student training session, Education Commons Lab 1, 3rd floor, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Aug. 17: It is highly recommended that you apply to positions by this date
Aug. 24: Deadline for students to apply to the positions and prioritize their applications
Aug. 27: First round of offers. You will need to log back on to the system to determine if you are receiving an offer in the first round of matches.
Aug. 29: Students who have been matched in the first round of offers must sign the electronic employment contract by Aug. 28. If you decline the offer or do not sign the contract by Aug. 28, the position will become available for other students.
Aug. 30: Second round of offers. If you did not receive an offer in the first round you should log back on to the system to determine if you are receiving an offer in the second round of matches.
Aug. 31: Students who have been matched in the second round of offers must sign the electronic employment contract by Aug. 31. If you decline the offer or do not sign the contract by Aug. 31, the position will become available for other students.
Sept. 4: Final round of offers. If you did not receive an offer in the previous rounds you should log back on to the system to determine which position you have been matched with.
Sept. 6: Students who have been matched in this final round must sign the electronic employment contract by Oct. 7. If you decline the offer or do not sign the contract by Oct. 7, the position will become available for other students.
