2013 Summer Graduate Assistantship Timelines

The timelines for the hiring process is short for Summer GA positions. Summer GA positions will be available online on April 11 and will be posted until April 24. Students are encouraged to apply to the positions during the first week, as faculty members posting positions will start to evaluate the applications starting April 22. Although the deadline for students to apply is April 24, it is highly recommended that you apply to the positions by April 19.

April 11-24: Summer GA positions are posted online
April 19: It is highly recommended that you apply to positions by this date
April 24: Deadline for students to apply to the positions
April 29: First round of offers. You should log onto the system at this time to see if you have been matched for a position.
April 30: Students who are matched with a position on April 29 must sign the electronic employment contract by April 30. If you decline the offer or do not sign the contract by April 30, the position will become available for other students.
May 1: Second round of offers. If you were not matched to a position on April 29 you should log onto the system at this time to determine which position you were matched with and sign your online GA contract.
May 2: Students who were matched in the second round of offers must sign the electronic employment contract by May 2. If you decline the offer or do not sign the contract by May 2, the position will become available for other students.
May-August: Summer GA employment takes place
