If I am planning to graduate, during the year, will I be eligible to apply to or continue as a TA or TEPA position?

Status of an applicant at the time of course commencement determines eligibility.  If a TA or TEPA commences employment prior to convocation, then s/he retains Unit 1 status for the duration of that appointment.  For example, if a applicant is convocating in November s/he is eligible to take up work in a "F" course or a "Y" course because the appointment would start in September, prior to convocation.  However, if the applicant wished to take up work in January, following convocation, they would only be eligible for Unit 3 work and would have to apply for such work accordingly.

I have missed the deadline date, due to unforeseen circumstances.  May I apply to the positions?

After the deadline all TEPA and TA postings would be "currently closed". Applicants would need to check online for emergency TEPA or TA postings that may come available, at which time they can apply. According to the CUPE 3902, Unit 1 Collective Agreement we generally post positions for 20 working days unless emergency postings are brought forward.   The TEPA and TA positions are normally posted at the end of May each year.
