The Teaching Assistantship (TA/TEPA) Appointment Process and Timelines
There are many steps in the appointment process for teaching assistants. Here are some important dates for continuing teaching assistants:
- Feb 20 - March 15: Students indicate their intent to continue for the following year
- Week of April 29: ADP office communicates with continuing students who have NOT been matched by Directors and the ADP Office with instructions and timelines for the TA or TEPA Posting System.
- May 6 - 10: Continuing students who have not been matched use the TA or TEPA Posting System to find teaching assistantship positions for which they would like to be considered.
- June 3: ALL Continuing teaching assistants will be notified by email to visit this site to view their assignment offer for 2013/2014
- June 3 - 14: Continuing teaching assistants confirm that they will take the offer online. They may confirm or decline the assignment.
- May 21 - July 9: New TA/TEPAs hiring process takes place. Find out more on the TA and TEPA Posting System website.
- July 22: New teaching assistants that were successfully matched with an assignment will be notified by email to visit this site to view their offer for 2013/2014
- July 22 - August 2: New teaching assistants confirm that they will take the offer online. They may confirm or decline the assignment.
- August 6 - 9: All teaching assistants and supervisors sign contracts and DDAH form online through this system
