Sole Responsibility Instructors

 

Students have the opportunity to teach Related Studies Course in the Initial Teacher Education program and Masters of Teaching (MT) program through Sole Responsibility positions.

  • Responsible for preparing teaching resources for each class and providing relevant materials
  • 36-hours of course contact time and additional hours for informal meetings with sudents as necessary
  • Assessing and evaluating students' work and providing a final course grade according to OISE, University of Toronto grading policies
  • Instructors will also have the opportunity to participate in teacher education program activities such as curriculum meetings, profile readings for admissions and professionals development opportunities

  • Applicants must be planning to register as full-time doctoral students at OISE in 2013-2014
  • Only short-listed candidates will be interviewed.
  • To apply you are to submit a short c.v., a one-page statement that outlines what you can bring to the position, and the names of two referees. Within the job posting it will indicate whether you are to apply by email, or apply online.
  • You are required to submit a separate email for each position you wish to apply to. 
  • Please ensure that your student number and job posting number are included on your one-page statement.
  • Applications must be received by the due date indicated.
  • Failure to follow any of the above instructions will result in your application not moving forward.

  • Students are required to have a university-issued email account and to provide that email address on ROSI. If you have not done so, please activate your university-issued account and add the address to your personal information on ROSI. Students are required to monitor and retrieve their email on a frequent basis. For more information, refer to the Policy on Official Correspondence with Students.
