Embrace a World of Opportunity

An International Leader in the Research, Teaching and Study of Education.

OISE is a global education research faculty Locally-anchored in Toronto – the world’s most diverse city – OISE creates global citizens who enrich education around the world. Our open, supportive community attracts world-class scholars to explore new perspectives and ideas that drive innovation in education.

Although our global relevance is built on over a century of academic excellence and outreach initiatives, it is the quality and panoramic scope of our research that makes OISE a truly global institution.

OISE research centres drive productive collaboration on universal learning issues, many of which are focussed on distinctly cross-cultural concerns. Our mission is to prepare future leaders to make a positive impact through groundbreaking education research and knowledge mobilization.

Creating a Better Future for All

Improving education and human potential is the best way to make positive, lasting change in any society.
international education faculty
To help achieve this, OISE has forged international initiatives with regions from across the globe. These collaborations expand OISE’s understanding of universal education issues and how to create systemic change that leads to more vibrant, caring communities.

OISE is honoured to receive numerous requests from international delegations and visitors, which often lead to international projects, activities and institutional memorandum of understanding.

OISE has been instrumental in the establishment of an International Alliance of Leading Education Institutes (IALEI): a forum composed of several education institutes that collectively address global problems that relate to educational issues.  On June 15, 2011, OISE will be hosting a one day Symposium on Research in Education sponsored by the IALEI. For more information, please click here.

Our scholars thrive on these diverse outreach initiatives and through collaborative opportunities within OISE. If you are excited by the power of education to make anywhere in the world a better place, if you are dedicated to excellence and want to be a true agent of change, you belong at OISE.
