The research is concerned with teacher education for linguistically-diverse schools in migration societies. The study adopts critical perspectives on the intersection of language, race(-ism) and migration to meet its primary objectives of examining: (a) how mainstream teacher candidates come to understand the linguistic demands of the content they teach; and (b) how they learn to make specific pedagogical moves in the classroom that support multilingual learners.
Locations of research:
Universität Bremen and local schools in Bremen, Germany.
