Summary:
The study seeks to understand the nature, contexts, and role of the Elders in schools, their value and importance, and particular teachings and instructional strategies for Canadian and African education. How can educational institutions develop appropriate policy measures to incorporate Elders' knowledge in educational delivery? And, what can educators and schools learn from such a knowledge base to enhance educational outcomes for youth?
