The Centre for Leadership and Diversity
(CLD) was formed in 2004 and
is housed in the Department of Theory and Policy Studies at OISE/UT.
Our Mission
CLD is devoted to engendering, promoting and sustaining an interest in, and
commitment to, leadership and diversity.
Centre initiatives are intended to encourage and nurture activities that
advance the cause of equity, social justice and democracy in matters of
leadership and policy. The activities include:
- conducting and disseminating research
- liaising with schools and school systems
- providing opportunities for novice researchers
The Centre endeavors to forge a strong connection with practitioner-focused
elements of OISE/UT, in particular, the pre-service teacher education program
and the principals' qualification program.
Members of the Centre include faculty from the department of Theory and
Policy Studies of OISE/UT and other universities, as well as students and
practitioners.
