Selecting Courses

Course selection is possible only when all conditions of admission have been satisfied.
The OISE Course Schedule for the 2017 Fall and 2018 Winter Sessions is updated for viewing in early June; be sure to check for course restrictions and special notes. Start with the  Course Information page. The Student Web Service (www.acorn.utoronto.ca) will open for course enrolment at 6 AM June 21, 2017.
Once course enrolment opens, you are strongly encouraged to select your courses as soon as possible as many courses will reach maximum enrolment.  A new feature of the ACORN (www.acorn.utoronto.ca) interface is your enrolment cart, which can be used to plan ahead of time the courses and activity sections you intend to enrol in later.  Feel free to add to your cart different back-up course section combinations, or add entirely different courses in case they become necessary. ACORN help is an excellent resource.  http://help.acorn.utoronto.ca/faq/add-course-to-enrolment-cart/
Note that it is your responsibility to ensure course selection accuracy. For example, a student who adds courses then makes changes to their program of study or to their start date may lose their place in the courses.
To learn about required courses for your program, consult the SGS Calendar and your departmental guidelines.  For further questions or advice regarding selecting other appropriate courses, contact your Faculty Advisor listed on your Offer of Admission.  (See link to OISE Phonebook on right side menu)
Lectures begin the week of:
September 11, 2017         Fall Session and full year courses
January 8, 2018             Winter Session courses ( MT courses may be earlier)
