2010 Summer Registration Instructions
for students who DO NOT have to pay Summer Fees
Summer Registration Deadlines:
May 7 for courses beginning in May
July 9 for courses beginning in July
1. Am I required to register for the Summer Session?
If you receive a Registration Form in the mail, it does not mean that you are required to register. Only those students who are taking courses in the Summer Session are required to register. (Note that enrolling in courses does not automatically register you for the Session. Please see #2 below.)
2. How do I register?
Complete and return the Summer Registration Form (to be mailed from the Registrar’s Office) to the Registrar’s Office, Graduate Studies Unit immediately. If you are taking Summer courses and do not receive a Registration Form in the mail by May 14, contact your Liaison Officer in the Registrar’s Office.
3. What happens if I do not register by the deadline?
If you do not register (by returning the Registration Form) by the deadline, the courses in which you have enrolled will be removed from your record and your invitation to register will be cancelled. Course credit will not be given if you do not register.
4. What am I able to do on the Student Web Service (ROSI)?
On the SWS you can:
• add and drop courses
• change your PIN
• update personal information (telephone number, address, email address, etc.)
• check fees account balance and details
• request a transcript
• view grades
5. I am a Master’s Degree student. Will I have to pay a Balance of Degree Fee when I graduate?
Master’s students are required to pay a minimum Degree Fee determined by the length of program to which you were admitted. The “Balance Degree Fee” is assessed at the end of a Master’s program, and if the total academic fees paid to date are less than the minimum Degree Fee, you are required to pay the difference. A Statement will be sent to you at the end of your program if you owe a Balance Degree Fee. For more information, refer to Important Degree Fee Information at this website.
6. Am I required to pay an additional fee if I wish to use the Athletic Centre?
Students who are not required to pay Summer Session fees but who wish to use the Athletic Centre facilities will be charged a fee. You should contact the Athletic Centre at 416-978-3437 for full details.
7. Whom do I contact if I have other questions?
