Student Life Programs and Services now include: Accessibility Services, Career Centre, Centre for Community Partnerships, Counselling and Learning Skills Service, First Nations House, Hart House, Health Services, International Student Centre, Multi-Faith Centre, Psychiatric Service, Student Housing Service, and Student Life Programs.

Choices of accommodation include student residence, student family housing, and off-campus housing. The Family Care Office provides information, guidance and referral services to students who require childcare (facilities, programs, or subsidies), elder care, and assistance with other family matters.
Additional services include support groups and workshops such as Choosing Child Care that Works for Your Family, Financial Survival for Student Families, and Family Rights for Lesbians and Gays. All services are free and confidential. The Family Care Office has a resource centre containing practical material on family issues ranging from pregnancy and infant care to lesbian and gay parenting and caring for elderly family members. It also houses information on activities and facilities for student families on campus and in the community.
NOTE: Very early application for care services is absolutely essential.

Rather than completing a practicum involving an evaluated teaching experience, teacher candidates who volunteer to participate in the PREP get to experience an Ontario classroom and an opportunity to teach without receiving a formal evaluation. This non-evaluative experience provides an opportunity for Internationally educated teacher candidates to become more familiar with the Ontario school system before being placed in a school for their evaluated practicum sessions in February/March and April/May.

The OISE Student Teachers' Union provides opportunities for professional development, works on a democratic basis to advance students' interests and rights, and provides a framework through which students can communicate and share experiences and skills. The STU brings students together to discuss and achieve important educational, administrative, and legislative change. The OISE International Students Association (OISE ISA) represents all the international students at OISE. It organizes and sponsors cultural activities, and looks into the specific needs of international students. ISA holds an election every year in the winter term.
