LY

When is Registration?
Your Registration/Orientation Day will be on September 3, 2013 PM (Secondary- I/S and Tech. Studies) or September 4, 2013 AM (Elementary – P/J and J/I).  In early August, we will post the Registration Day schedules

If you have been accepted into the T.E.A.P. Summer Apprenticeship program your Registration/Orientation Day will be June 17th. For more information click here.

When are fees due and how do I pay?
In early August you will be able to access your invoice on the Student Web Service www.rosi.utoronto.ca. It will indicate the minimum amount of payment to be received by Registration Day. Your status will change to REG (for Registered) upon payment of the minimum amount or upon receipt of an OSAP deferral. YOUR STATUS MUST BE 'REG' BY REGISTRATION/ORIENATION DAY.  You may pay using TELEPHONE or ONLINE banking if your financial institution offers this service. Details can be found on www.fees.utoronto.ca

What if I need to withdraw or defer? Will I get a refund of my deposit?

Deferrals of admission are considered for medical reasons, and on a case-by-case basis. Your request must be in writing and received by the OISE Registrar’s Office before the start of the session and include supporting medical or other documentation. You must first accept your Offer of Admission before you can be considered for a deferral. Deferrals are not granted after the program has started.

Withdrawal from the program occurs after the program start date and will have fee implications; please refer to the University of Toronto Student Accounts website for detailed information about fee refunds and dates: http://www.fees.utoronto.ca/session. Ensure that you are aware of the academic penalty dates.

If you have decided not (or are unable) to attend you may receive a refund of your $300 deposit if written notification is received by the OISE Registrar's Office by June 1st  2013; assuming you have no outstanding fees owing to the University. After that date your Deposit is forfeited.

What if I can't attend Registration/Orientation Day?
Write the Registrar's Office and request late registration. We will respond with the details and procedures you need to follow, however, you will miss many important activities and presentations. Ensure that your Status on ROSI is REG by Registration Day, or you may incur late registration fees.

Will I be attending classes all day every day?
Depending on your option/cohort, you could have classes every day. The Elementary or Secondary Information Night on April 11th will give you a good idea of potential daily schedules. Please note that during the Practicum/Internship, you are expected to be at your placement all day, every day.

What if I have special needs regarding my timetable, for example childcare needs?
It is imperative that you write the Registrar's Office early in the summer with your needs. We will attempt to make timetable accommodations, however, in many cases your schedule is mandated by the options/cohorts/subjects you have chosen and there is no flexibility. In addition, Accessibility Services provides services to students with a documented disability, be it physical, sensory, a learning disability or a mental health condition, temporary or long-term.

I am a former University of Toronto student and still have my T-Card, do I need to get another one?
A new card is not required; once you are registered your card will be re-activated.
