WELCOME to SESE

The Department of Sociology and Equity Studies in Education
(SESE) is an exciting place to study where you will find
critical scholarship and teaching, a diverse group of students
and faculty, and several cutting-edge research centres and
research projects. Our approach to sociology in education
through a critical lens on equity makes SESE unique in
Canada and in the world. SESE faculty members, researchers
and students not only produce valuable scholarship and
research, but also work with community organizations to use
their academic skills in the service of broader justice and equity
concerns. More details.
