Room Bookings

Faculty Sponsored:

Must be sponsored by a SJE Professor. Please contact Julie Sutton or Paul Tsang via email. Allow 5 working days for processing. Please check availability for room 12-274 here.

Student Sponsored:

For SJE student-sponsored events, vist the Academic and Campus Events website and correspond directly with Academic and Campus Events and the Office of Space Management for approval.

Department Sponsored:

For all events in the SJE department, check availability of the SJE Seminar Room, Rm. 12-274, here. Please email your name, event name and e-mail/telephone number to Julie Sutton (ea.sje@utoronto.ca) or Paul Tsang (p.tsang@utoronto.ca). This space is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, but priority is given to departmental faculty/administrative events. Please note that you should allow 2 business days for processing of requests.

To give all SJE members equal access to this space, please do not reserve the SJE Seminar Room for continuous meetings for a term or year at a time. Up to 3 weeks ahead is an acceptable timeframe for continuous meetings. Public open spaces are also available for smaller informal events as follows:

  • SJE Lounge (accommodates 8-10 people)
  • North west end of SJE (open space; accommodates 6-8 people)
  • No bookings required
  • Use if available

Student Office Space in SJE

The department strives to provide desk space for registered students in shared offices, subject to specific criteria and availability. As space is limited, priority is given to full-time graduate students in research-based programs. Please see this link for the SJE student space policy and application and renewal form.
