Dr. Cohen teaches in both the pre-service and graduate programs. Her graduate level courses include “Gaining Confidence in Mathematics: A Holistic Approach to Reconstricting Mathematical Knowledge and Overcoming Anxiety,” “Holistic Education Approaches in the Elementary Math Curriculum,” and “Action Research in Science, Mathematics and Technology Education.”

Dr. Cohen’s recent works have focused on mathematics anxiety of elementary school teachers and ways of helping math anxious teachers reconstruct their mathematics knowledge and deal with their anxiety; meaningfulness and creativity in mathematics education: holistic education approaches without sacrificing development of basic skills.
