Our Goal
The School University Partnerships Office (SUPO) at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) plays a central role in the development and support of the Teacher Education Practicum Course and Internship Program. The primary goal of SUPO is to build and maintain effective partnerships with schools, boards and community groups, and to work collaboratively with these groups to support all aspects and levels of education. SUPO is also involved in supporting all stakeholders involved with these field experiences: Teacher Candidates, Associate Teachers, School Principals and OISE Faculty. Preparing Teacher Candidates for the teaching profession requires the collaboration of all members of this broad educational community. We hope that this website provides the necessary guidance to collectively support OISE’s aspiring Teacher Candidates.
Practicum Partners
The professional support and involvement of neighbouring district school boards are essential for the success of all faculty of education programs. OISE is both pleased and proud to have partnerships with the school boards below. Practicum placements in some of the Boards are aligned with specific programs, options and cohorts. In addition, OISE has developed partnerships with a number of Independent Schools.
