Internship Journal Tracking SystemThe primary tool of accountability between the Teacher Candidate and their OISE Advisor is the Internship Journal Tracking System, which is an on-line web interface that allows Teacher Candidates to communicate with their OISE Advisor from anywhere in the world via world wide web access. After finalizing their Internship plans in February, Teacher Candidates submit their Action Plan Agreement on a secure database accessible through OISE’s Internship website. This information is available to the OISE Advisor, the Teacher Candidate, and the Academic Internship Coordinator. During the Internship, Teacher Candidates electronically submit a weekly journal, summarizing their Internship activities and highlights of their learning to their OISE Advisor. OISE Advisors electronically review and respond to the weekly submissions of their Teacher Candidates to ensure the activities reflect the approved Action Plan Agreement of each Teacher Candidate.
Internship Mid-Point Formative AssessmentThe purpose of the Mid-Point Formative Assessment is to provide Teacher Candidates with formal written communication of their status (i.e., working towards "successful" or "not successful" completion of the Internship) in the first half of the Internship experience. The designation of working towards "successful" completion on the Mid-Point Formative Assessment should not be interpreted as the final outcome of the Internship experience. |
