Departmental News
Dear TPS Community:
We have come to the beginning of another calendar year and John, Megan and I are well into our second year as Associate Chairs and Chair. So far so good. Many of you have dropped by to offer support and advice. Others have been involved in organizing events that provide opportunities for us to come together, to learn from each other and to share time with each other. We appreciate all of these efforts. We want to thank all of you for your continued hard work in continuing to build community among all of the members of the department. We wish you the very best for 2009.
Reva, John and Megan

Ben Levin has assumed the role of Interim Deputy Minister of Education, effective December 15, 2008, for a number of months. A request was made for Ben to return to the Ministry due to a set of unforeseen events. It is clear that his expertise, commitment and dedication will ensure that the momentum of education improvement in Ontario is maintained. The temporary secondment will allow Ben to continue with some of his academic responsibilities; namely, the supervision of his students and limited research activities.

Reminder, the Call for Abstracts for the 9th Annual Dean's Graduate Student Research Conference has been extended to January 19, 2009.
