Lesson Plan Templates

 

A detailed lesson plan is a key factor in the effective delivery of a lesson and supports greater student success in achieving learning expectations. CTEP expects all teacher candidates to complete lesson plans as part of their practice teaching experiences.

The variety of lesson plan templates below have been generously submitted to OISE by associate teachers, faculty, and teacher candidates.

Template #2 Submitted by an Elementary Teacher Candidate who stated, "I like this one because it is a one pager and includes the Multiple Intelligences as well as Bloom's Taxonomy."
Template #3 Submitted by a Coordinator of the Elementary North Option.
Template #4 Submitted by the Coordinators of the Elementary Crosstown Option - suitable for any lesson and includes attention to planning for "critical consciousness".
Template #5 Submitted by the Coordinators of the Elementary Central Option.

Submitted by an OISE Secondary instructor who teaches Science. It is loosely modelled on the Ministry lesson plans they use in the Differentiated Instruction work on the EduGAINS website.
Template #14 Submitted by the Coordinators of the Midtown Elementary Option - suitable for a 3-part math lesson.

Submitted by a Teacher Candidate in Secondary.
Template #16 Submitted by a Coordinator of the Elementary Regional Option.
Template #17 Submitted by a course instructor for Health and Physical Education – uses The Three Part Lesson Plan model (Minds On, Action and Consolidation) as a an effective lesson planning tool for HPE, for all grade 9 – 12 HPE courses, activity based and/or health lessons.
