A University-Community Partnership
The APCOL project is a community-university action research alliance. It is designed to develop the effective sharing of different forms of knowledge and expertise whether this is in area of community organizing, research or writing.
All case study research includes a community and academic co-leadership model. Likewise, the city-wide anti-poverty survey is co-led by a community representative and an academic. Both community and academic partners sit on the four major committees that comprise the structure of the APCOL project.
