At APHD, you will develop into a skilled and thoughtful researcher or professional who will expand knowledge about human development and improve practice in key areas such as teaching, counselling psychology, and school and clinical child psychology.
Our department is home to a diverse group of students and regularly plays host to visiting researchers from around the world. Our faculty are leaders in their fields, with wide-ranging interests and active research programs.

Jackman Institute of Child Study
The Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study houses the University of Toronto’s elementary laboratory school and is also home to our Master of Arts in Child Study and Education program.
