Critical Leadership Towards Resistance and Transformative Change

The theme of the 5th Annual CLD Conference is Critical Leadership Towards Resistance and Transformative Change. We continue to witness ongoing challenges and inequities in societies across the globe. Education and schooling are not immune from these challenges as we are seeing policies that seek to undo efforts to create more equitable schooling for all students. In this moment educational leaders are being called on to be more agentive and committed to a path of justice. This commitment involves finding new paths of engagement beyond the traditional boundaries. This includes engaged collaboration with communities, finding spaces to embrace joy and redefining the work of leaders that is responsive to the times we are living in. We invite academics, activists, students, educators and community members to join us in this critical dialogue as we work collectively towards lasting transformative change.
