Centre for Urban Schooling

Pencil crayons

Established in 2005, the Centre for Urban Schooling (CUS) connects the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) to urban schools and communities. The Centre conducts research on and advocates for critical practice that is focused on how to better serve historically marginalized and racialized children, youth, and families in public schools. Our research projects include critical practitioner research projects, youth participatory action research (yPAR) projects, and arts-based research projects.

in:cite Journal Volume 2 Launch Party

The Centre for Social Innovation Spadina
192 Spadina Avenue
6-8 p.m.

It’s that time of year again! in:cite is gearing up to launch our second issue: HOME. For the last 6 months, our authors have worked to pen, paint, and sing what home means to them--a theme that’s generated pieces exploring diaspora and colonization, loss and belonging, disaster and healing, and much more.

This year’s launch event will take place on Friday, June 28th from 6-8pm at The Centre for Social Innovation Spadina (192 Spadina Ave). There will be food, music, copies of the issue, and ongoing brainstorming for the theme of our third issue!

We would greatly appreciate if you could share the event publicity (see below) in your circles. As always, we thank you deeply for your ongoing support of in:cite.

Thank you so much, and please don’t hesitate to contact us (incitejournal@gmail.com) should you have any questions.

We hope to see you there!
