Co-Curricular Record Workshops

Interested in getting a notation on your Co-Curricular Record?  The Adaptive Technology workshops on this page are CCR-approved. Taking both levels (below) plus the Smartphones, tablets, and apps in the classroom workshop, will grant you 1 credit on the CCR, titled "Education Commons Technology Series."

Workshops descriptions:

Our sessions are designed with Initial Teacher Education and Concurrent Teacher Education students in mind, but are open to all University of Toronto students.

Adaptive Technology, Levels 1 & 2
Workshop facilitators will introduce Ministry of Education-approved and other adaptive technologies, which can be used to enhance teaching in the K-12 classroom.  Students will participate in hands-on activities using a variety of software and hardware, and will be invited to share possible solutions to case studies discussed during the session.

Smartphones, tablets, and apps in the classroom
Smartphones and tablets are everywhere. You’ve got one and your students do too. But how can you use them in a meaningful way in the classroom? This workshop will introduce ways smartphones and tablets can be used to enhance teaching and learning. Explore some of the many K-12 education iPhone / iPad apps available, and share your favourites with the group.

Non-OISE Students: a $15 fee applies, which covers all 3 workshops.
