Melissa is a doctoral student in Developmental Psychology & Education at the University of Toronto (OISE). Her research examines the use of natural language processing and machine learning to assess students’ oral language proficiency and predict their internal beliefs about learning. Internationally, Melissa also conducted research in Trinidad & Tobago where she examined the relationship between children’s internal beliefs and high stakes test anxiety. Melissa is passionate about teaching, learning, and using research to impact individuals in meaningful and measurable ways.
