-easy to manoevre through
-clear specific categories in the index
-easily accessible information and well laid out

Weaknesses:

-If using this in a classroom teacher must emphasize to students that the website touches briefly on each culture, so therefore it is only an overview
-Each country is presented from a Canadian persepective and may be biased
-Users need to have at least intermediate level of engish comprehension to use the website

Comments:

Excellent resource, especially for teacher candidates who are looking for lesson plans (geography, social studies, history, and language arts) and wish to make classrooms more culturally diverse.

We wanted to see if the presentations of these countries seemed stereotyped. To do this, we each looked at a country that we were familiar with (Maria - France; Hollie - India; Michelle - Canada) in order to see how our perceptions/experiences matched up with the website's conceptions. Overall, we all had the same impression that the country was presented in a fair, factual manner. The website acknowledges that they are providing only a glimpse of the country's life and customs, and we agree that it is a general overview that provides specific information in some categories.
