Biography

Jennifer Chinenye Emelife is a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), contributing to the Addressing Injustices and Writing and Rising projects. Her research focuses on critical literacies, peacebuilding, and transformative education for youth in contexts of violence and displacement. Formerly a secondary school teacher in Nigeria, she developed creative pedagogies for teaching the West African Literature curriculum in classrooms.
