Indigenous Education Network

Announcing the Indigenous Education Network’s 30th Anniversary Lecture Series!

This year the Indigenous Education Network is changing our format from monthly networking meetings to a lecture series. The size of IEN monthly meetings became too large for the previous format, and so we have decided to pivot to this new model.

Our lecture series offers a space for scholars and knowledge keepers to share their visions for the future of Indigenous education and research. It will still allow for people to come together to network and engage in discussion with one another. This format will also allow us to better serve our growing community of Indigenous students, as each lecture will also involve a special lunch or dinner with the speakers just for Indigenous graduate students. All of the IEN's 30th Anniversary lectures are free and open to the public.

This year for our 30th anniversary we are very excited host the following speakers:

Alayna Eagleshield – October 25th 2-4pm, OISE Library, main floor

Vanessa Watts – January 24th 6-8pm, OISE Library, main floor

Sarah Deer – February 7th 2-4pm, OISE Library, main floor

Alex Wilson –February 27th 6-8pm, OISE Library, main floor

Registration is required for each lecture. Register on our Facebook page @IENatOISE, and on Eventbrite at https://ien.eventbrite.ca
