Community Organizations in Toronto

Anishnawbe Health Toronto is a fully accredited community health centre that offers access to health care practitioners, including Traditional Healers, Elders and Medicine People.

First Nations House, located at the St. George Campus at the University of Toronto, is a dynamic place where Indigenous students from many Nations across Canada can seek culturally appropriate services.

Native Child and Family Services of Toronto is Ontario’s only full-service, off-reserve child welfare agency under the direct control and management of the Indigenous community.

The Native Women’s Resource Centre of Toronto providing a welcoming atmosphere for all Aboriginal women and their children in the Greater Toronto Area. They offer life-enhancing resources, cultural ceremonies and teachings, skill development, and programs to build our collective capacity and celebrate our cultures.

The Native Canadian Centre of Toronto is an Indigenous community cultural centre. The Centre welcomes the local community, including guests from across Canada and offers a variety of programs and services.

Na-Me-Res provides a 63 bed shelter to serve the needs of homeless men in Toronto. Their objective is to reduce the number of homeless and to prevent those at risk of becoming homeless, by equipping them with the tools of empowerment, self-reliance, and economic independence.

2-Spirited People of the First Nations is a non-profit social services organization whose membership consist of Indigenous LGBTQ people in Toronto.

The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business is a member-based organization driving business opportunities and advancing corporate social responsibility for the Indigenous community.

Native Earth Performing Arts is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the creating, developing and producing of professional artistic expression of the Indigenous experience in Canada.

Miziwe Biik strives to provide training and employment opportunities in a supportive environment in which people can affirm their Indigenous identities and develop to their full potential.

Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre provides counselling, material assistance and other direct services to First Nations people and works to encourage and enhance spiritual and personal growth.

The Ontario Federation of Indian Friendship Centres is a provincial Indigenous organization representing the collective interests of twenty-nine member Friendship Centres located in towns and cities throughout the province.

First Nations Junior and Senior School of Toronto is open to enrollment for any students who wish to have an Indigenous focused education.
