Academic Advising

In partnership with First Nations House, students have access to an academic counselor who offers academic and financial advice, support and referrals to other services on campus. To schedule an appointment contact julie.shepard@utoronto.ca

OISE Traditional Teaching and Support Program

A Traditional Teacher is available during the fall and winter semesters for drop-ins and scheduled appointments. More information on hours and how to book an appointment can be found here.

Indigenous Graduate Student Collective

The Anishinaabe-Onkwehonwe Graduate Student Collective is a group of Indigenous students at OISE. All Indigenous graduate students are welcome to join the collective. In partnership with the IEN, we organize events for Indigenous graduate students, and provide informal support to one another as we navigate/resist the academy. Student Lounge

The IEN student lounge, located in room 7-231 is a quiet place for students to work, relax, and interact with other IEN members.

Student Gatherings

The IEN has hosted lectures by notable scholars and mentors, such as Dr. Jeff Corntassel and Josephine Mandamin. Traditional teachings and  community socials are all regular IEN events. Schedule of IEN events can be found here.
