Dr. Suzanne Gordon and colleagues from Ontario’s Ministry of Education recently met with OISE Professors Earl Woodruff and Jim Hewitt to discuss the connections between math and well-being on the heels of the Ministry release of their new monograph, “Yes I can! Paying Attention to Well-Being in the Mathematics Classroom”.

According to Professor Woodruff, “the Ministry’s new resource supports results from our Emotion and Learning Optimization lab that math anxiety is one of the single largest contributors to a decline in mathematics performance."
