No matter how old you are, first-day jitters are still something many people experience when preparing to return to school. And for new OISE students who may be embarking on graduate studies for the first time or living away from home in an unfamiliar city, this adds another layer of uncertainty to the idea of 'back to school.' In the above video, we ask current OISE graduate students to share the advice they would give their first year selves.

The students, ranging from the master's to the doctoral level, share tips on how to navigate anxieties around making new friends, balancing parenting in grad school, overcoming imposter syndrome and more.

Did you know? OISE students have access to a wide range of support services on campus. To learn more, come visit the Office of the Registrar and Student Services on the 8th floor. We're here to support you and help you succeed.
