OISE Professor Roy Moodley receives Award of Recognition for work in counselling and psychotherapy

Congratulations to OISE Professor Roy Moodley, who received an Award of Recognition at the International Conference on Counselling, Psychotherapy and Wellness held at CHRIST University in Bangalore, India.

The award was presented to Dr. Moodley in recognition of his committed contribution to the field of counselling and psychotherapy. Over the span of his academic career, he has consistently created opportunities that have allowed researchers, practitioners and scholars from diverse backgrounds to work together and engage with important questions and challenges within the context of diversity and multiculturalism.

Dr. Moodley is a champion of participation in important discourses such as critical multicultural counselling and psychotherapy, race, culture and psychoanalysis, traditional healing and critical mental health, and global south psychologies. He has a deep interest in engaging scholars with critical issues as well as creating and providing opportunities for professional and personal development.
