The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and we want to see what OISE means to you in our My OISE Photo Contest. Here’s your chance to show off your photography skills and win!

How to Participate

  1. Capture photos in one of these three categories: peoples, place and things, and '50 years of impact'
  2. Send your best one in each category to oiseut.communications@utoronto.ca
  3. Share your entry on social media with the hashtag #MyOISE for the chance to win the People’s Choice prize. Don't forget to tag us!

Judging and Prizes

Each contest winner will receive an OISE merchandise prize pack. Winners and finalists in each category will be selected by a panel of judges. A People’s Choice prize will be awarded to the photo with the most ‘likes’ on social media. Winners and finalists will be announced on May 26, 2016 at OISE’s 50th Year Spring Reunion, notified by phone or e-mail, and have their photos featured on the OISE website.

Deadline

This contest closes on May 24, 2016. See full contest rules below.

Good luck! We can’t wait to see OISE through your lens.

The Rules

  1. This contest is open to OISE students, alumni, staff, and faculty.

  2. There are four prizes – one in each award category (people, places and things, and '50 years of OISE'), and one People’s Choice prize.

  3. You may submit one photo per award category but will not be able to win multiple times.

  4. Your entry must be in .jpeg or .jpg format, at the highest resolution possible, at least 1,600 pixels in width, and not exceed 5 MB. If your file is larger, please supply a download link.

  5. E-mail your entry to oiseut.communications@utoronto.ca by May 24, 2016. Include in your e-mail the award category; title and description of the photo; your name, telephone number, and e-mail address; and your OISE status (i.e., student, alumni, faculty, or staff).

  6. After you have submitted your entry, share your photo on social media using #MyOISE. Photos with the most likes will receive the People’s Choice prize.

  7. By submitting your photo to the contest, you must agree that you are the photographer, and you have permission to take the photos of any individuals and enter the photo in this contest. As the photographer, you retain copyrights to the photo. However, you agree to give unlimited and unrestricted permission for the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education to use and reproduce the image for free in any media for promotional or informational materials.
