January 30, 2017
The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto is deeply saddened by the horrific shooting at the Québec Islamic Cultural Centre on Sunday night.
We offer our heartfelt condolences to all those mourning the loss of family and friends, and those who have been injured in this terrible tragedy. We stand with the Muslim community, and reaffirm our steadfast commitment to diversity, inclusion and a better future.
The University of Toronto's flags will fly at half-mast for a two-day mourning period beginning tomorrow to coincide with the vigils being planned across the University.
