OISE professor appointed as key education advisor to Ontario Government

Carol CampbellTORONTO, ONTARIO - Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne announced earlier today the appointment of Dr. Carol Campbell, Associate Professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto, as one of the Ontario government’s four key education advisors.

Dr. Campbell will be instrumental in helping Premier Wynne and Minister Liz Sandals deliver on the Province’s ambitious education plan, Achieving Excellence: A Renewed Vision for Education in Ontario, which includes innovative teaching and learning, supports for all students, and an emphasis on student well-being.

“Carol is an accomplished and internationally respected scholar with extensive experience in school system change. Her appointment will be a great benefit to Ontario students, teachers and school boards,” said Professor Julia O’Sullivan, Dean of OISE. “This is a tremendous tribute to Carol”.

Dr. Campbell joins Dr. Jean Clinton, Dr. Michael Fullan and Dr. Andy Hargreaves as the Premier’s key education advisors.
