Online and Distance Education at OISE

Online Environments

Choice and flexibility for teaching and learning...

Often known as an LMS - a Learning Management System, OISE offers choice and flexibility! You can even mix and match! Depending on an instructor's curricular needs, courses may be offered in one or a combination of environments. Instructors use the tools these online environments offer either completely from a distance or as a complement to a face-to-face course, known as partially online or blended learning.

What do we offer?

  • C2C  Connect to Create - for courses and/or research or administrative communities. If you have used WebKF or First Class for your courses and you need peer-to-peer online collaboration, you'll want to check out C2C which can be used in conjunction with Blackboard.)
  • Pepper (Research platform also used at OISE for peer-to-peer colaboration)
  • Blackboard (Bb)  (UofT Learning Portal)
