The University of Toronto is unique among Canadian universities in providing assurance of financial support, and in promising that students will have access to financial counselling. Please note, however, that the University's financial assistance guarantee is not extended to those students who are restricted from OSAP.

U of T Advance Planning for Students (UTAPS)

What is UTAPS?

Depending on your program and year of study, studentswho apply for OSAP and receive the maximum loan amount may qualify for a University grant if OSAP's assessment of their need exceeds the maximum loan amount. This grant - part of the University of Toronto's Advance Planning for Students program (UTAPS) is non- repayable. Students are automatically considered for UTAPS if they apply for OSAP.
