Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)
U of T Advance Planning for Students (UTAPS)

What is UTAPS?
Depending on your program and year of study, studentswho apply for OSAP and receive the maximum loan amount may qualify for a University grant if OSAP's assessment of their need exceeds the maximum loan amount. This grant - part of the University of Toronto's Advance Planning for Students program (UTAPS) is non- repayable. Students are automatically considered for UTAPS if they apply for OSAP.
Out-of-province students who have applied for government assistance are also eligible for UTAPS but must contact Enrolment Services, 172 St. George St. to fill out an application.

The OISE Bursary Program

The OISE Bursary Program provides financial assistance to full-time OISE students who demonstrate financial need. The bursary is non-repayable, and intended to assist you in financing your education.
Students may apply for the OISE Bursary once every academic session.
- For doctoral and master of teaching students: fall, winter and summer term
- For all other master's students: fall and winter term only

The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto provides base funding packages to full-time graduate students in the Ph.D. and non-professional MA programs. These students are referred to as the "Funded Cohort."
